Almost every teacher needs a teacher grade book and 聽a way to track progress of their students. 聽Whether you use an online template or one of the following free grade sheets listed below, having a system that works for your particular classroom is vital.

Personally, I like to always have my gradebook sitting next to me as I record grades, then I enter them in to the online gradebook if required by my district. 聽That way, I have a backup in the case of a system wipeout (it has happened and I was lucky that I was prepared).

Plus, it makes it simple to show parents specific grades or trends while they are sitting across from you at the parent teacher conference table.

I love that it is super colorful and cute. 聽Having a blank chart template to view student assessment scores is quite handy.

In addition, excel allows you to use the data in charts and graphs, which may be very telling of how 聽a student is performing over time.
